Update on Joel: thanks for all your prayers...Joel's platelet count is back up, he's home from the hospital, and even put in a day of teaching already! Praise God for the great report!
Now, back to our time with the Coles. It rained on Saturday, so we hit up the aquarium in Boston and gave N, H, S, and A a tour of my office. Sasha had a good time looking at the penguins at the aquarium, and the whole experience brought Shells back to her junior high days when she wanted to be a marine biologist.
On Sunday we went to church and then went back into the Boston for (part of) the afternoon. Michelle and I were pumped because we have a tradition of getting the first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the fall at the Starbucks on Charles and Beacon Streets, and we got to share it with the Coles! We also ran into Mike and Danielle Tata outside, and it was fun to catch up with them and have them meet Charlie for the first time. Lattes in hand, we strolled through the Public Garden and took some pics on the Make Way for Little Ducklings statues. We also showed H, N, S, and A where we used to live in Beacon Hill. Of course had some good laughs over the most famous quote involving Brimmer Street: "Lora left her purse...on Brimmer Street!" Sunday night we had a little birthday party for Michelle's Dad, or Grandpa V as Charlie calls him. Good times.

The Coles flew out on Monday, but not before some family pictures and a little taste of the morning commute in Boston. We had an awesome time with the Cole clan, and are so thankful that they made the (major) effort to come and visit!
