Trip to Cottage Grove

My good friend from high school Dave Duede got married last weekend (congrats Dave and Deana!), so the Kleinsasser Crew packed up and traveled to Minnesota for a few days. We got in on Thursday afternoon, which gave us a little extra time in the Grove with my parents. Charlie was great on the plane...for the first three hours. It was the delay somewhere over Wisconsin where he lost it. Not fun. But overall, the little guy did great all things considered. More importantly, he was thrilled to see his grandparents, and had huge smiles for Grandpa K:
On Thursday night Al and Linda and came over for dinner. Charlie loved it, and was a huge hit after his bath.

Charlie after his bath...his grandma couldn't be happier!

Unfortunately my mom came down with a nasty flu bug on Friday, which was a huge bummer for her and for us. Probably biggest highlight on Friday was hanging out with Mike, Kendra and our godson Braylon, who made the trek from Minneapolis to the Grove to hang out for a few hours.
Hanging with the Peterson clan in the gazebo (outside, so no one caught the flu!).

Dave's wedding was on Saturday. The ceremony was great, and it was awesome to see my good buddy Dave so happy with Deanna. It was awesome to be able to stand up as a groomsman for Dave, especially because all of my best buds from high school were in the wedding too and we got tons of quality time together. And anytime I get to see Asch, Tyler, Shooter, Muss, Scotty and Duede on a dance floor in one night it's a memorable night.
Dave and Deanna. FYI -- this is not at their wedding -- totally stole it from their wedding website.
Hanging with Scott and Matt before the ceremony.

We had to leave way too early on Sunday, but we at least got to swing by the WBC (Woodbury Baptist Church, of course) to see Paul and Kaz. It was sad to leave Minnesota and say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa K, but we had a great trip. Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful weekend!
Charlie with Grandpa K...can't wait till next time!
