We had a really full and fun Halloween weekend with Melissa (who made the trip home for the weekend) and our little monkey. That's right...our little monkey. Charlie's first Halloween was short but sweet. On Friday night, we trick-or-treated all the way out to Natick and hit up a grand total of one house (which was about all Charlie could hang in for before bed). But seeing Nanny and Grandpa V. -- and their reaction -- was certainly worth it!
We got Charlie all suited up in the car.
Here we are getting ready to knock on Nanny and Grandpa V's door.
Their reaction was priceless!
Charlie was so cute in his costume, we all couldn't stop smiling!
Here's the good sport letting us all take so many pictures of him! It was such a fun first Halloween! I can't wait until we can walk around with him next year!
On Saturday morning, Zack and I were finally able to have a yard sale, something we have been wanting to do for months. We had a huge turnout, largely because we have such a great location being so close to a main road. Not only did we make a little money, but more importantly we got rid of a ton of stuff and had fun together doing it! Overall, it was a huge success!
Shortly after we packed away the yard sale tables, Melissa, my dad and I went to the Boston College/Central Michigan football game. The tickets were a birthday present to my dad from all of his kids.
Here we are at the game. I have to admit that my attention span for football is limited...my favorite part of the game was being together, enjoying the warm weather and fun atmosphere, and of course getting some great sister time in with Liss. That's one thing about televised college football -- you know you'll have some time to chat during the game...and so we did!
Back at home with Charlie after the game. I realized that the 4-5 hours I was at the game was the longest I had ever been away from him. I missed the little guy but knew he was in excellent hands. He and Zachary had some great "guy" time while I was gone!
On Sunday we all went to church together and then went out to eat at Bertucci's before Liss had to head to the airport. Charlie was all smiles in this picture...he had a great weekend and so did we! Thanks Liss for making the effort to be with us and for all of the joy you brought with you! We all love you! See you soon!
Thanks for the update Shells! What an adorable little monkey! I am constantly amazed at how big his getting :) So precious. Looks like you had a fabulous time with Melissa, so glad she could make it for the weekend. Lots of love to you all.
